Hello and welcome to our class page for:
NUTMEG CLASS
Chloe is the class teacher in Nutmeg, along with Zaynah and Holly who are the Teaching Assistants.
Special Breakfast happens each week on a Friday where we give our certificates to our Rights Respecting Superstars and find out which Duty bearers have earned an extra special mention too.
In our class:
- Special Breakfast is every Friday morning where we have a great range of tasty and healthy breakfast foods. We also celebrate our pupils' achievements throughout the week and our rights-respecting stars with certificates.

Our Learning Autumn 2 2024
ENGLISH
Our first text will be: ‘The Journey Home’ by Frann Preston-Gannon.
The children will create fact files on endangered animals as well as writing short persuasive pieces on why we need to save a particular endangered animals.

Our second text will be: ‘The Tin Forest’ by Helen Ward and Wayne Anderson.
The children write in role as the old man, producing diary entries and wishes and also write a postcard to him to pass on some advice. The children write a persuasive information leaflet to encourage others to protect an area in the local environment.
MATHS
As mathematicians, we will focus on Place Value, Addition & Subtraction and Multiplication & Division. We will also be looking at money and solving problems with money.
Make sure you go on TT Rockstars and My Maths at home to do extra practice to help you. (see links at the bottom of the page).
SCIENCE
As scientists, we are focussing on Forces and Magnets.
GEOGRAPHY
As geographers, we will be learning about Antarctica.
Our big question is: Who lives in Antarctica?
ART
As artists, we will be focussing on Painting.
D&T
As designers, will be looking at Textiles. During this topic we will be making cushions.
COMPUTING
As technology users, we will look at Data and Multimedia.
PSHE
As global citizens, the theme for this term is Relationships and RSE.
RE
As global citizens, this half term, our key question is: What does it mean to be a Hindu in Britain today?
PE
This half term we will be taking part in Gymnastics
