Class Yew
Welcome to Yew Class! Supporting your children in the classroom are: Donella Machin the class teacher, as well Rochelle and Lee our amazing teaching assistants.
In our class:
- Special Breakfast is every Friday morning where we have a great range of tasty and healthy breakfast foods. We also celebrate our pupils' achievements throughout the week and our rights-respecting stars with certificates.

Our Learning Autumn 1 2024
ENGLISH
This term we will be looking at ‘Percy Jackson’ by Rick Riordan.
MATHS
As mathematicians, we will focus on Addition and Subtraction, Multiplication and devision, as well as shape.

SCIENCE
As scientists, we are focussing on Classifying Living things.
Our big question is:
‘How do we classify living things?’
HISTORY
As historians, we will be learning about the Ancient Mayans
Our big question is ‘Who were the Maya people?’
ART
As artists, we will be focussing on Drawing.
D&T
As designers, will be looking at Digital world: Monitoring devices. In this unit we will be looking at the development of thermometers.
COMPUTING
As technology users, we will look at Coding. Learning how to make codes for programs on purple mash.
PSHE
As global citizens, the theme for this term is Living in the Wider world.
We will be doing lots of work around what it means to live and get along with others and how to be a productive member of our society.
RE
As global citizens, we will continue this half term with our key question: What do religions say to us when life gets hard?
PE
This half term we will be taking part in Swimming lessons.
