PINE 2024 - 2025

Hello and welcome to our class page for: 

Class Pine

Iram Hussain is the Class Teacher in Pine, along with Rochelle, Melika and Yasmin who are the Teaching Assistants.

Special Breakfast happens each week on a Friday where we give our certificates to our Rights Respecting Superstars and find out which Duty bearers have earned an extra special mention too.

Please try and read with your child regularly either online using Active Learn or using a reading book if you have requested one to be sent home.  

Our Learning Spring 1 2025

ENGLISH

This term in English, we will focus on the book Hansel and Gretel while using the Talk for Writing scheme. The children will explore different settings in the story and develop their skills in writing detailed setting descriptions. We will focus on using key tools and techniques to help them become confident and effective writers of descriptive texts

MATHS

As mathematicians, we will focus on Number & Place Value , Addition & Subtraction and Multiplication & Division.

Make sure you go on TT Rockstars and My Maths at home to do extra practice to help you. (See links at the bottom of the page).

SCIENCE

As scientists, we are focussing on Darwin's footsteps.

HISTORY

As historians, we will be learning about Leisure and Tourism. 

ART

As artists, we will be focussing on Painting.

D&T

In DT, we will be exploring bridge construction and examining the structure of different types of bridges.

COMPUTING

As technology users, we will be looking a E- safety. 

PSHE

As global citizens, the theme for this term is keeping safe.

RE

As global citizens, we will continue this half term with our key question: What can be done to reduce racism?

PE

In PE, we will be going swimming and focusing on developing water safety skills, improving swimming techniques, and building confidence in the water.
