CoMLP Outreach Service
Mission Statement:
Our aim is to offer our expertise, insight, and values in providing an effective
Outreach Service for all schools and young people in the City of Manchester.
Inclusion, fairness to all and an empathetic approach underpin all that we do and
we apply a child-centred approach in all our practices, whilst supporting the perspective
of our schools.
Aims:
The CoMLP Outreach service aims to support all City of Manchester Primary and Secondary schools and young people in areas such as social and emotional well-being, SEND, safeguarding and, ultimately, we want to support those young people at risk of suspension or permanent exclusion from school.
We aim to build strong, effective relationships with our partner schools, and we encourage schools to contact us at the earliest opportunity to ensure the earliest intervention (Please see the ‘At Risk’ package) for the young person.
We also offer a robust training package aimed at all staff (with some sessions exclusively for ECTs) and can also offer Bespoke training packages dependent on the specifics of your referral.
We aim to promote inclusivity through the Nurture principles and support schools in the implementation of initiatives, coaching and strategies to support their students.
